My wedding business still operates in 3 states with 5 different services to this day. On top of that I have experience in most vendor roles in the wedding industry:
🎧 DJ? Check - I’ve done that!
📸 Wedding photography is still one of our biggest services.
📹 Same for wedding videography!
🎭 The photo booth is my favorite add-on service to date.
💌 8 years of invitation design? That too.
💒 Venue experience? I’ve got it.
💐 I even worked as a florist in college!
What do all of these roles have in common? Demand fluctuates.
Which means so did my business revenue and busyness…
Affiliate marketing has been one of the best ways to stabilize my income and gave me something to focus on during slower seasons.
It’s not just fun (who doesn’t want to discover and share more great wedding resources?!)... It's also highly profitable.
And I want that for you too.
You have clients and/or a platform (like a blog, website, or social media platform) so you can get your affiliate links in front of people.
You love the idea of making extra money without adding extra work for you or your team!
You want to provide your couples with lots of amazing resources to make their wedding planning easier – and getting paid for the referral is a juicy bonus.
You don’t have any clients or a platform (like a blog, website, or social media platform) to share your affiliate links.
You’re already successful using affiliate marketing and have a system up and running.
You’re so booked out that you barely have time to breathe and even just sending clients over to The Knot® is barely manageable.
No - and keep in mind you’re legally required to disclose affiliate links so you’re not doing anything secretively. Instead you’re providing couples with a shortcut to the things they need to figure out anyway! And recommending really good products to them. There’s nothing pushy or sleazy about being helpful.
You’ll spend several hours going through the materials and several more signing up for affiliate programs and building out your promotional materials. You don’t have to do it all at once but can spend a few hours every week on it.
That depends on how quickly you implement and how many people engage with your materials. It’s possible to make your first affiliate sale within a month.
There are no refunds. If you have any hesitation about whether or not this is for you, please get in touch as I'm happy to chat about whether this is the right move for you right now.
You can share your affiliate links everywhere, but a website, social media platform, and client emails and portals are a great place to start.
Yes - you can focus on providing your couples with great resources you’re an affiliate for and get creative with sharing your affiliate links! That’s what module 4 is all about.
